Facebook Live Content

I get this question often.

How do you come up with your topics??

Well, that answer does vary, and I don't like to limit sources and topics of inspiration - I truly believe inspiration can come from anywhere, at anytime.  I recently DID a FB Live on that topic on this:

There is a mix of many, from mindset, to lists of reasons to do XYZ, to "how to" topics.  So I thought I'd share a list of inspiration sources to help you.  Of course, this may be applied to producing any sort of content:  podcasts, blog posts, FB Lives, Instagram memes, Twitter posts, etc.  The possibilities are endless!  With no further ado and in no particular order:

15 Sources of Creative Inspiration

1) Excerpts from books (paper or audio)

2) Book reviews

3) Current events (although decide how controversial you would like to be in your personal content, especially with things like politics and personal views on social topics)

4) Holidays/Special Days

5) List of favorite inspirational quotes

6) Life experiences

  1. Life-changing events
  2. Daily routine
  3. Caregiving - kids or parents

7) How to... do anything.  Google whatever you want to teach.

10) Checklist

11) Your occupation/area of study

Keep in mind the points below:

HAVE FUN!  Don't give a dry or sterile presentation - be relatable and even vulnerable.  Use personal anecdotes, work in fun facts, or jokes - things that complement the post but also add a human factor of interest.

GIVE CREDITI want to put out a disclaimer, if you do base your presentation closely from someone else's blog, book, etc - give them a shout out.  You need to give credit where credit is due.  A statement such as,"I was listening to a webinar the other day by (presenter's name) and they provided a bunch of great content - but I'm going to put my own spin on it."  I did this in YESTERDAY'S BLOG POST .

PROVIDE GREAT CONTENT  Do the topic justice, be clever and informative.

HAVE A POINT  Don't just babble on, people are listening to you to gain something - give it to them.

INCLUDE A CALL TO ACTION  Ask viewers/readers/ listeners to commit to an action.

Have a great time creating content!
