Reality is subjective.  Everyone has a different version, hence came the phrase “from my perspective.”  But typically there are similarities in the experience, which are varied by the perspective of each participant.

Reality is “the world or the state of things as they actually exist, as opposed to an idealistic or notional idea of them.”

It’s the state of things but is not measurable or tangible.

When returning from vacation, we say,”Back to REALITY” but reality doesn’t have to be a negative thing.  It can be however positive or negative as the REALITY YOU CREATE!

A really great example of perspective in reality takes place in the Bible Gospel – it’s really interesting that although the Bible is the inspired Word of God, it was penned by various men through the ages.  The Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were written by…  Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John!  Although the message is consistent, there are details in one account not covered by another – because each of these had a different perspective and experience, providing varying details as such.

This is how we gain additional perspectives and information we may have not otherwise known.  And this is the same as we continue to experience through life – it’s how they pieced together information to provide the account of the assassination of JFK, for example.  Varying perspectives that were similar.

So if there is a perspective that is so severely different than most others, is the “reality” experienced by that other person LESS authentic – a fiction, a lie?  To whom?  And who decides which is correct?  Probably the majority.  I don’t know for sure.  I’ve known others like this and it does not seem to be as if they are lying, unless they have convinced themselves of that lie so completely.  That shifts the information into truth in their mind.  It sets my mind into a thoughtful mode as to why that occurs.

We do have a say in our own realities.  What you decide in your mind and heart will come to fruition if you desire it, define it by setting goals, and set in motion the plan to implement steps to arrive at your dreams which will become reality.  When someone says to “get real” you can happily inform them that you are!
